Summary0003138: Can't edit system file
Description

my Kali (Sana) 2.0 has developed a freezing issue, so I opened my terminal n typed in 'cat /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend'
the output is 2, I assume it should be 1
so I try to edit the grub file by typing in '/etc/default/grub'
the output is an error 'bash: /etc/default/grub: permission denied.

please note that I'm signed in as the root user and should therefore have all the super user privileges.
how can I fix this

If you want to edit a file, use a text editor "nano /etc/default/grub". Typing "/etc/default/grub" tries to execute that file which is not executable... hence permission denied.

Also we are not interested in bug reports against Kail 2.0 Sana, please upgrade to Kali 2016.1 kali-rolling. Thank you.
