Summary0000300: Include xserver-xorg-video-qxl
Description

I would like to use Kali with kvm, but the best xorg driver is missing and the screen resolution is bound to 1024x768. Please include the driver xserver-xorg-video-qxl to allow more/arbitrary screen resolutions.

This package is in our repositories and can be installed manually. No need to bloat up the ISO.

Please reconsider this. It is a basic video driver and makes the live iso a lot less useless if it cannot be conveniently used in KVM. Since KVM allows USB and PCI passthrough, it is very helpful to be able to just boot up the latest Kali linux ISO image without having to install it.

I just tested with Kali 1.0.4, installing the driver only requires about 1.5 MB uncompressed space and there is no convenient way to load the xorg driver after installing it. E.g. logging out and in again does not restart the driver (which is already inconvenient), therefore it might be necessary to switch to a text console to figure out how to kill the Xserver and restart it, which also not great, because it usually interfers with the host's linux system.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
