Hi. I actually had the exact same problem yesterday and found that the problem for me was that I also had to install "nvidia-xconfig" and then run it with "nvidia-xconfig". I'm not sure this is a bug with Kali, but rather a mistake in the documentation for leaving that part out, which is the reason I came here. Maybe this is related to something I/we got wrong during installation though. Anyway, to solve your situation, you need to get a shell and run: If you have the same problem I had, you CAN press CTRL+ALT+F1 to get a TTY, but you can't see it. So what I did was to simply get the TTY, log in, ran the 1-liner above and waited for it to reboot. It took me like 3 tries to get it right but there is probably an easier way. |

Hi builderbob, I did that before but didn't worked too. My xorg.conf is attached in my report. I tried everything what came in my mind including set the BusID on xorg.conf, but without success. Part of my xorg.conf: Section "Device" Thank you for the informations, |

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup? |
