Summary0003556: wifite broken on upgrade
Description

After doing apt-get update and apt-get upgrade at the end of August on Kali roling, wifite ceased working. It goes into a loop when asking for which wifi card to use; ie., I enter "1" for wanlan0, and it prompts me again. Reproduced on three computers.

Steps To Reproduce

Update, upgrade and try.

Additional Information

I am using a usb wifi. It appears that the wifite code has not changed, at least there is no change log showing any changes after 2012. I thought about checking python, but python 2.7 has not been changed recently.

I also have this problem. Turning on monitor mode for the wireless interface with airmon-ng and then firing up wifite seems to fix the problem for me.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
