Summary0003682: Kali Light 2016.2 autologin-user is not working
Description

After a fresh install of Kali using kali-linux-light-2016.2-amd64.iso and "apt update && apt upgrade" I tried to enable auto login changing this file /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf including the two lines below under the line "[Seat:*]".

autologin-user=root
autologin-user-timeout=0

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Install Kali Light
  2. apt update && apt upgrade
  3. Enable autologin

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
