I looked at the forum post that you shared but I don't see any serious indication that the version of the firmware in the current package is problematic.

Furthermore Debian is tracking the firmwares from https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/ and not directly from the repository you gave.

That said there's a new version of some ath10k related firmware files available in that linux-firmware repository and we can consider updating the corresponding package. But there's no urgency.
