Summary0004052: fcrackzip does not crack with a dictionary
Description

If i try to crack a zip using a dictionary the software don't crack anything.
The password is in the dictionary but it doesn't work.
I'm able to unpack the zip with the password using 7zip.

Steps To Reproduce

With the command "/fcrackzip -v -u -D -p ./pas.txt cyberchallenge17-CTF.pdf.zip"
the only output is:
"found file 'cyberchallenge17-CTF.pdf', (size cp/uc 1726514/1738909, flags 1, chk 0000)"

Additional Information

The version of fcrackzip is 1.0-8 amd64.

Its impossible to try to troubleshoot without it!

The zip was created with p7zip, the password is cyb3rcha773nge

I downloaded the source code from http://oldhome.schmorp.de/marc/fcrackzip.html and i tried to crack the zip on my debian 9 machine. The result doesn't change.

the application hasn't been updated in quite some time, which would suggest that issue is with something in zip file it doesn't like (as can be seen when you try to $ unzip it). So the program works, just a lot out of support! Unsure if there is anything the Repo maintainers can do unless someone picks up the project im afraid!

(This would also explain the linked bug I added :)! )

Now I'm using john the ripper and everything is ok.

zip2john cyberchallenge17-CTF.pdf.zip > z.hash
john --wordlist=pas.txt z.hash

you should consider to remove fcrackzip from the repo if it is out of support.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x/2017.1), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
