Linux support is barely working for touchbar MBPs, and as far as I know does not work out of the box on any distro.

Debian kernels do not enable CONFIG_SPI_PXA2XX (which is required for the keyboard driver): https://bugs.debian.org/872004

I don't think Kali should care about integrating this support ahead of Debian, but enabling CONFIG_SPI_PXA2XX in Kali kernels would at least allow users to build the keyboard drivers themselves.

CONFIG_SPI_PXA2XX is now enabled in Kali kernels (via https://bugs.debian.org/872004), so the WIP keyboard/touchpad/touchbar driver https://github.com/roadrunner2/macbook12-spi-driver can now be simply installed using DKMS per the README in that repo.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x/2017.1), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
