Description

Kali - Bleeding Edge
Linux Debian 4.14.0-kali1-amd64 0000001 SMP Debian 4.14.2-1kali1 (2017-12-04) x86_64 GNU/Linux

since the update/upgrade, noticing a system halt/Freeze/lock randomly or timed 5+ min. CPU Ram levels all appear normal, normal user operation. Ex: Updates or browsing the web or running command (uname -a)

courser freezes on screen, when it locks 2 coursers appear one locked on screen and the other because mouse was moved.

System unresponsive to any keyboard combinations.

Steps To Reproduce

-Admin user account - haven't tried root however gnome-terminal I am SU into root when this happens.
-so far its been 20 min without being in root and typing this bug report with out incident.

  • I use Chrome in my admin account for personal use, I had to Hard crash the system twice.
  • system froze one time running command in the shell terminal logged in root.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x/2017.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
