Summary | 0005273: After shutdown, still laptop standby light on
Description | I am using dual boot on hp laptop, on Windows shutdown is correct, but on Kali Linux there is not proper shutdown
I believe that you should be sure to read the documentation for installing and setting up kali (https://docs.kali.org/category/introduction) and also check the forums (https://forums.kali.org) for similar problems. I believe by default when the power button is pressed kali enters suspend mode, so that is typical behavior. |

Facing same issue on Dell....... It just log out and go to login screen........ Using this command to shut down (sudo) shutdown 0 -h |

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling <= 2018.4), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup? |
