Description

I am using dual boot on hp laptop, on Windows shutdown is correct, but on Kali Linux there is not proper shutdown

I believe that you should be sure to read the documentation for installing and setting up kali (https://docs.kali.org/category/introduction) and also check the forums (https://forums.kali.org) for similar problems. I believe by default when the power button is pressed kali enters suspend mode, so that is typical behavior.

Facing same issue on Dell....... It just log out and go to login screen........ Using this command to shut down

(sudo) shutdown 0 -h

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling <= 2018.4), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
