You're not saying what display manager you are using, what Kali ISO you used to install the system, what messages you can see in the logs, etc.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling <= 2019.1), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
