Summary0006272: Kali 2020.1 Graphical Interface Glitch
Description

I just installed the latest version of kali on my ASUS Vivobook 15 laptop, installed kali the first time and thought I did something wrong the second time I installed it the same issue happened again! It only happens after the first reboot after installation has finished! Note, at the time of writing this I tried a third time on the same laptop but made the installation media on a different computer with the same graphical interface glitch.
My exact laptop is the ASUS VivoBook F512DA-EB51

Steps To Reproduce

1) Install Kali Linux
2) restart system once in the desktop after installation
3) Log back into kali (glitch should have happened at this point)

It's likely the graphics driver at fault here, which there isn't a whole lot we can do there. You listed a model, but there are a number of different options for that laptop model. Can you give the actual GPU that is in use, as well as the GPU driver being used?

the laptop has a AMD ryzen 5 3500u APU with vaga 8 graphics. I don't know witch driver is being used. I also just checked AMD's web site and they offers no driver for Linux, only for Windows.

There is a known issue with ryzen APUs. This is the same issue as this one
