Summary0006356: Seemingly random wifi crash after some time using the system, fills up harddrive with logs, freezes whole system
Description

Whenever I'm using Kali, at some random point (it may be after 30 minutes or two hours), the wifi connection stops working, some parts of the system freeze (I cannot view the wifi list by clicking the icons, the mouse sometimes freezes as well, and the disk space is very quickly filled by the /var/log/syslog, /var/log/syslog, /var/log/messages and /var/log/kern.log files getting bigger and bigger. The only way to stop it is to cold reboot the pc, then empty the files using CTRL+ALT+F1 command line to be able to log in. Then everything works again for some time, and crash again later.

The three log files are filled up with the following trace, repeating over and over until there is no more disk space:

Steps To Reproduce

I don't know, this seems to happen randomly, and I am not skilled enough to make sense of the logs

Additional Information

I've had some problems with my network card before, but nothing as big as this. I also had an old Kali version (2019) up until recently. This bug only happens since I updated. I can't figure out if this is a hardware or driver issue on my end or an issue with Kali. I don't have this kind of problems on my windows dual boot.

Does this occur after a suspend maybe? Which wifi card is it? I know it's using iwlwifi, but which model wifi card do you have specifically?

Assuming it's happening after a suspend/wakeup... can you try running as root

echo 'SUSPEND_MODULES="iwlwifi"' >> /etc/pm/config.d/config

Then rebooting and seeing if that affects things at all?

Thank your for your answer.
It does not occur after a suspend. I often suspend my computer, but the crash in itself can happen even an hour after a suspend or wakeup, while I'm just using the computer normally. Should I try running the command, anyway?
My wifi card is an Intel Wireless-AC 9560, the computer an Asus Zenbook Pro 14 (ux480fd)

This did not solve the issue unfortunately. My /etc/pm/ folder did not have a config.d folder inside (only a sleep.d), so I created it, and ran the command, then rebooted. I then used my computer for maybe two hours, everything was going smoothly, until the bug happened again randomly while I was browsing a webpage. I had to cold reboot immediately to prevent the harddrive for filling up again. The bug occured for something like 6 seconds until I turned off my computer, and the 3 logs file are already at 2.2 GB each
