Summary | 0008571: Update & Upgrade causes system to break on latest 2023.4
Description | Hi, I've recently downloaded the latest VMware installation, provided 4 Cores , 80GB of HDD and 20 GB of RAM to use. However, upon restarting the Kali VM when accessing the terminal the message "Failed to execute default Terminal Emulator' pops up. I've attempted to use the other terminals that are included with the base 2023.4 installation of Kali, however, no terminals pop up when clicked. TLDR; When you update kali to the latest version via update | Upgrade, you can no longer use the terminal. I've deleted the VM, re-downloaded the base installation file and gone through the same update | upgrade process and the outcome is the same.
