Author here - version 1.10.5-rbsec has just been tagged on GitHub (has some new features like support for viewing OCSP status and STARTTLS on IRC).

The --cipher-details option (shows weak DHE keys) needs to be built against OpenSSL 1.0.2 (which make static should do by default).

rhertzog submitted some patches on the GitHub issue tracker to make the packaging processes easier that were merged a while back (https://github.com/rbsec/sslscan/issues/29), so you shouldn't need to patch it yourself any more.
