Summary0008572: metasploit-framework 6.3.46-0kali1_amd64 cannot be installed
Description

When trying to upgrade the system, the following error occurs:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
python3-pymetasploit3 : Depends: metasploit-framework but it is not installed

When trying to use apt -f install or apt install metasploit-framework, the following error occurs:
dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/metasploit-framework_6.3.46-0kali1_amd64.deb (--unpack):
unable to open '/usr/share/metasploit-framework/data/eicar.com.dpkg-new': No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/metasploit-framework_6.3.46-0kali1_amd64.deb

Of course, the package cache has been cleaned, but it does not change anything.
Is there a general problem with the exact package version of metasploit-framework_6.3.46-0kali1_amd64.deb or is it an error that may be specific to this system?

I'm unable to replicate your issue. What did you do for getting that error. I installed python3-pymetasploit3 and metasploit and it gives no errors

Thanks for the hint with the virus scanner! A colleague installed Elastic Security Endpoint, which seems to remove the test viruses during package extraction. Thanks for the fast help guys, issue resolved.
