Summary	0009361: THC-Hydra 9.6 - please add protocol "smb2" and "xhydra" to package
Description	Dear maintainers, it would be nice, if you could upgrade the deb-package of THC-Hydra with the support for protocol "smb2" and secondary, oif possible, add xhydra to it, too. Tried to build xhydra on kali-linux, which failed, but in debian strangely it built (some months ago). Thank you for your help! Best regards Hans

vanguard 2025-10-26 12:34 reporter ~0020915	Hydra 9.6 can be build in kali with smb2-support. Also xhydra can be build, when libgtk2.0-dev is installed. However, as I am not very experienced with the creation of a debian package, I failed building this correctly. This means: hydra is built with smb2-support, but xhydra is completely missing in the deb-package. I suppose, I am doing something wrong, as the xhydra package is been built, but not put into the deb-package. Here I am totally stuck and lost, so it would be nice, if the package maintainer maybe could solve this problem, if it is not too much work. Thanks for this in advance! Best Hans
