Summary0009369: MSF not working after apt update for 2025.1a and 2025.3
Description

I have encountered an issue with Kali2025.3 after performing apt upgrade, the msf seem not to behave correctly. I found out that when i was following the "Combined the pieces" lesson in Pen300 and trying to migrating the process in the meterpreter, i obtained an error (see attached figure) . I also encountered the same problem when I updated the Kali2025.1a.

Next i tried to setup a fresh copy of the Kali2025.3 and carried out the same step as per lesson, I was able to get the expected results.

For now, I am afraid to perform an update as it will break the MSF

I guess issues after upgrading a product would need to be reported to the developer(s) of the product, not the team the product is just packaging / distributing (in this case them from Kali).

I have just updated metasploit-framework to version 6.4.95 and it should be ready in the repository in a few days.
