Please update Zeek and/or address dependency errors when attempting to install from Kali sources via package manager
Version in Kali sources is 5.1.1
Current version as of Feb 2026 is 8.1
Steps to replicate:
- attempt to search and install via apt command
- error messsages state unable; conflicting (older) libraries required by Zeek
