Summary0000974: /usr/share/wce/wce*.exe is corrupted
Description

After uploading the file suscesfully on a lab box (win server 2003) and trying to run with an account with administrative permissions, I will get the "win*.exe is not a valid Win32 application" popup.

I have tested downloading the file directly from the devs webpage and uploading using the same method (meterpreter upload) and it worked without problem.

Steps To Reproduce
  • Install the VM applicance for PWK labs
  • exploit a machine with meterpreter payload
  • use upload /usr/shared/wce/wce*.exe (all 3 files fail)
  • You can check 2 ways: if you get a shell with meterpreter and try to run wce, the shell will die. If you try from a rdesktop, you'll get a popup with the error: "win*.exe is not a valid Win32 application"
Additional Information

Target is a win server 2003 machine. This has been tested both as user system and as an user with administrative permissions
