Summary0007951: Crashing of gnome-control-center (Settings).
Description

After the latest update, opened settings and clicked on the colour option. The settings program crashed and won't start. Even after reboot the issue prevails.

Steps To Reproduce

After latest update,

  1. Go to 'settings'
  2. Click on 'colour' option. The program will crash.
    Thereafter every time the 'Settings' program will crash even after reboot.

And due to this issue, the screen recorder also stops recording the rest of the things when settings is opened from the drop down menu..

I have the same issue, and even opened a bug report 0007933
Not only screen recorder, but Night Light is broken too...

Idk if Kali can do something about it, but hope so...

Hello!
I've closed the other issue 7933 as duplicated, to have things just in one site. This issue happens because gnome-control-center 43 arrived earlier than gnome-shell 43. This shouldn't have happened and we are working to solve this. We are trying to push the gnome-shell 43 update as soon as possible.

If you can't open the settings panel after opening the "color" section you can find other settings directly from the gnome-shell search bar. For example you can search for "display" and it will bring you directly to that section in the control panel and avoid it from crashing again
