Additionally, I am using gnome enviornment. I tried using onboard and it works fine. Clicks and scrolls work fine in chrome browser but when I tried in spotify I am unable to scroll or click and even in the desktop GUI clicks and scrolls are not working properly. In spotify I noticed that it is hovering the buttons when I tap on touchscreen.

And consider that we are not kernel developers, if you know of a fix, we will gladly integrate it in our kernel build. Otherwise your best bet is to wait the next kernel update and keep around an old kernel that works for you (for example by installing an old known-working Kali image).
