Description | The AWS AMI for Kali, version 2018.3a, is unable to install the package From a clean VM (no user modifications at all), attempt to run Looking at the repo: http://http.kali.org/kali/pool/main/f/fio/ it is clear that 3.6-4 is not a version offered at all, so this could not possibly work. | ||||

Additional Information | This was tested on an t2.medium instance with a public IP address. Network security is not a factor, as the kali website clearly doesn't have that version listed. ec2-user@kali:~$ sudo apt-get install fio | ||||
Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling <= 2018.4), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup? |
