Summary | 0005285: Mount error during installation
Description | Every time i tried to install kali linux on the cdrom mount step it gives an error"cant mount cdrom" on dell laptop i just pull out the bootable usb and then immediatly plug it back. Then it works perfectly. But now I am using Hair laptop this dosent work and the problem is still there.
Use win32diskimager software to create bootable USB stick.I also had this problem a long time back but this software does the trick for me and for you as well. |

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling <= 2018.4), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup? |
