Description

when you log in to linux, the taskbar and the closing zoom buttons above the windows disappear. everything seems normal when you log in to Linux with root.

Something is misconfigured for your user and apparently, the window manager xfwm4 isn't automatically being launched.
You can run it from the terminal if you want with xfwm4 & disown but you'll need to do this manually every time.
The best solution I can provide is to create a new user with sudo adduser name, so that you have all the default settings restored for that new one
