|0001409||Kali Linux||General Bug||public||2014-06-11 00:48||2014-07-24 00:49|
|Fixed in Version||1.0.7|
|Summary||0001409: Utilite Pro - second Gbit ethernet does not work|
Only one interface works on the Utilite when starting Kali, the one next to the USB ports. The other one doesn't work and even loading the driver doesn't do anything (it just put 2 lines in dmesg saying it's loaded and that's it (and lsmod shows the driver as not used).
That port work just fine on the Ubuntu version shipped with the Utilite.
|Steps To Reproduce|
Load the latest (and greatest) version of Kali (1.0.7 as of writing). You can even try loading the driver.
I can see a can0 interface. No idea what's it for (and to what bus/connector it is linked).
can0 is the canbus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAN_bus
I'll have to boot back up into Kali on my utilite, but what I see here currently on the same kernel is
can0 - canbus
The canbus is usually for cars. To what interface is that can0 linked to?
Anyway, I'll have to retry building an image since loading the driver still doesn't work (the image is about a week old, built on June 4th or 5th).
This is fixed in the build scripts, and the 1.0.7 release should have it.
