Description | I have tried to run the postgreSQL since the last update and upgrade and I am facing the following error, which as a result, the Metasploit can not work properly as well. would you please kindly help me how can solve this issue? since the postgresql service can not be started properly, the metasploit doesnt respond properly as well. service postgresql restart | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | I have searched this issue over the Internet, and seems others faced the same issue as well | ||||

The file itself is readable by everyone so postgresql should be able to open it. What about the parent directories? Please provide the output of: |

I've seen this happen with improper shutdowns of postgresql, on Docker. |

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing,and also give information about your setup? |
