Description

Hi i have problem with my Kali
when i type apt-get upgrade i got this
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
beef-xss
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

So then i try another way apt-get install beef-xss and i got this message
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
beef-xss : Depends: ruby-dm-serializer but it is not installable
Depends: ruby-qr4r but it is not installable
Depends: ruby-rubydns (>= 0.7.0) but it is not installable
Depends: ruby-geoip but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Then i try this apt-get install ruby-dm-serializer and i got this message
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package ruby-dm-serializer is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'ruby-dm-serializer' has no installation candidate

I found missing packages in http://git.kali.org/gitweb/?a=project_list;pf=packages but how to install them.

Thank you

I guess that you have kali-bleeding-edge in your /etc/apt/sources.list. All packages there are not always fully functional... they are auto-built and not always tested.

The new beef-xss is being validated and will appear in kali once ready, together with the required dependencies.
