Please ensure that latest security patches are included in the running kernel on an ongoing basis, as the kali kernel is forked. Perhaps we need to add the debian kernel sources to our watchlist (?) to get alerts whenever a new version is introduced upstream.

We have nothing automated yet, but Sophie is subscribed to the Debian package tracker for linux and we are thus aware when we need to sync with Debian (this is the case right now).

Your idea of using the watch file is worth investigating. We could change the watch file of the linux package to point to Debian as our upstream...

We have added linux to our watch list so we are now aware when there are new releases on the Debian side.
