| Summary | 0003302: Forensic mode and DHCP | ||||
| Description | When booting Kali in Forensics mode on a machine connected to a LAN (wired), it automatically acquires a local ip address. Is it possible to disable this for forensics mode, and manually acquire one via 'dhcp -v eth0'? BlackArch does it by default, and since forensics mode is for forensic purposes, shouldn't it NOT acquire an IP address automatically via dhcp? | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Boot Kali on machine connected to a LAN. DHCP will reqeust an IP address even when in forensics mode. | ||||
| Additional Information | Possiility of disabling dhcp and invoking it manually when in forensics mode? | ||||
