Summary | 0003488: Faraday Upgrade to v2.0
Description | Faraday has been updated to the 2.0 version. Kali right now ships with a very old version which is not supported nor recommended anymore. This new version totally deletes the QT interfaces and won't be supported anymore, so no QT dependencies required anymore. Instead, a GTK interface is offered, so it needs GTK+3 and its python2 related packages (python2-gobject and related), all listed on its github wiki: https://github.com/infobyte/faraday/wiki/Installation-Client
It's also important to note Faraday Server is now a mandatory part of the tool: https://github.com/infobyte/faraday/wiki/installation-server. |

I uploaded a new version 2.0.0-0kali2 in the repository kali-experimental (it will be uploaded in kali-rolling once tests are done and ok). It would be great to have a "faraday-server.py --setup" to create and copy the config files. It's not really user friendly to have to run faraday-server.py once to create config files and to re-run it to really start the server. With a "faraday-server.py --setup", we could create the config files for the user during the package installation. |

new version 2.0.0-0kali3 is in kali-rolling |
