|Summary||0003849: Wrong keymap after boot|
|Description||Hi folks, |
I am a little stuck with a minor problem. As I am building kali-live for German environment, I want to have a German keyboard layout after boot.
But sadly it is in English. I searched for the reason, but now I am stuck.
At boot I am giving the following commandline to the kernel:
"acpi_osi=Linux boot=live noconfig=sudo username=root hostname=kali ignore_uuid locales=de_DE.UTF-8 keyboard-layouts=de keyboard-variants=nodeadkeys"
I looked at the manuals, but I found no error. What is wrong? As some manuals differ, I tried also "keyboard-layout=de" and "keyboard-configuration=de" without any success.
After boot, I can manually switch to German keyboard layout by using the command "loadkeys de".
Any hints are welcome.
It might be related to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=854004
Maybe we need a fix in live-config.
|I have uploaded live-config 5.20170316 fixing this issue to Debian. When available in Debian unstable, I will sync it into kali-rolling.|
|live-config 5.20170316 is now in kali-rolling.|
