Summary0003967: Rolling Kali not updating Hashcat
Description

Rolling Kali is not puling the most recent version of Hashcat (v3.5) from the hashcat.net site. The version with the rolling update (v3.3) is not compatible with hashcat's .cap to .hccapx conversion tool, inhibiting the process from running properly. Please update the rolling version to include the most recent release of hashcat. Thank you.

Steps To Reproduce

running apt-get update && apt-get install pulls down hashcat v3.3. Manual download

Hi, you should check your APT sources or at least check the repos before posting this report.

  • Reproducing the error with a clean install & clean apt sources would tell you exactly what the image i uplaoded to this report tells us:

Hashcat v3.5 is to be found in both the "rolling" & "dev" repo.
