Summary0003978: E: Package 'tor' has no installation candidate in kali 2017.1
Description

hi i am trying to install tor browser using the command "sudo apt-get install tor" but it says "E: Package 'tor' has no installation candidate"

i have tried updating the system using the command "sudo apt-get update" but all it says is "Reading package lists... Done" and does nothing else so it does not update anything. and it says all my packages are up to date so i don't know whats wrong.

Btw my machine architecture is a 64-bit operating system and i am running Kali Li nux 2017.1 on my hard drive
