Summary0004264: AWUS036ACH
Description

I am unable to use the AWUS036ACH with RTL8812au since 2017.2 upgrade. Able to see device via -lsusb but unable to see it when trying -iwconfic/ifconfig. Has someone made an update for the drivers?

Hi there!

I maintain those drivers, could you just check the "lsusb" and give me info on VID/PID for your device? Several updates + more devices has been added, will push a commit today and look at your issue. Thanks

Been checking the driver in package "realtek-rtl88xxau-5.1.5~20170828" that is packed in repos and it should support "0bda:8812" device id which should be the correct one according to

https://wikidevi.com/wiki/ALFA_Network_AWUS036ACH

No other reports on non-functional adapters has made it to the issue reports here or github either, this device ID is used by both AWUS036AC, AWUS036ACH & AWUS036EAC adapters, but I will investigate it further anyway.

Please debug/upload more information in order to pinpoint the issue, like using the file uploader here to upload "lsusb", "iwconfig" & "dmesg" outputs would be helpful.

This issue may be closed, as per reporter does not respond or uploads more information. The adapter has also been tested by several users and is currently working, besides the wpa handshake capture that have been an issue the whole time. Thanks
