Summary0000442: Enable VMware Xorg 3D support
Description

As per Debian bug #675977, it's possible to enable native 3D support on VMware Xorg driver by adding the build dependency on libxatracker-dev.

Patch attached.

Steps To Reproduce
  • apt-get build-dep xserver-xorg-video-vmware
  • apt-get source xserver-xorg-video-vmware
  • cd xserver-xorg-video-vmware-12.0.2
  • patch -p 0 < ../xserver-xorg-video-vmware_3d-support.diff
  • apt-get install libxatracker-dev
  • dpkg-buildpackage
  • cd ..
  • dpkg -i xserver-xorg-video-vmware_12.0.2-1_amd64.deb

Test it with

  • glxinfo | grep rendering

I uploaded xserver-xorg-video-vmware_12.0.2-1kali1_source.changes that should fix this issue, the package will be available shortly in kali-proposed-updates.
