|Fixed in Version||1.0.5|
|Summary||0000467: fsck fail during first boot for / xfs partition|
fsck fails during first boot when checking an xfs partition because fsck.xfs is missing
|Steps To Reproduce|
Installed Kali on an encrypted lvm volume with xfs partition on /.
Corrected by installing xfsprogs.
Please send me /var/log/installer/syslog and /var/log/installer/partman. You can put them as attachment in this ticket.
There is code that tells APT to install xfsprogs on the target system... the issue must be somewhere else.
What installatiom media/method did you use?
Couldn't find the files you requested for since i fixed the issue by installing xfsprogs manually.
To answer your questions:
Any more way i could help?
Thanks for your answers. That confirms my analysis. The installer is trying to install xfsprogs but it's not on the ISO so if you have no network enabled, it can't be downloaded either and ends up missing.
I have fixed live-build to always include xfsprogs and jfsutils to the generated ISO. This problem should be gone in the daily ISOs (http://archive.kali.org/kali-daily-images/).
