There is code that tells APT to install xfsprogs on the target system... the issue must be somewhere else.

What installatiom media/method did you use?
Did you have network available during installation and did you configure networking?
Did you answer "yes" to the question asking you if you wanted to use a network mirror (for APT)?

Couldn't find the files you requested for since i fixed the issue by installing xfsprogs manually.

I'm currently using the pre-configured 64bit iso media.

Thanks for your answers. That confirms my analysis. The installer is trying to install xfsprogs but it's not on the ISO so if you have no network enabled, it can't be downloaded either and ends up missing.

I have fixed live-build to always include xfsprogs and jfsutils to the generated ISO. This problem should be gone in the daily ISOs (http://archive.kali.org/kali-daily-images/).
