Summary | 0004853: Kali Linux starts being laggy and slow after 'apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade'
Description | 0 I have installed kali Linux on my HDD and I immediately ran an 'apt-get dist-upgrade' to update kali Linux. After the update finished installing I noticed that kali became very laggy e.g. the best way I can describe it is frame drop. Basically opening and closing windows becomes very laggy. Before the update everything was working very smoothly, windows and everything opened and closed with no lag at all. I should add that Windows 10 which definitely requires more fire power works perfectly (I'm not talking about tools like John - just graphics over all). I also tried installing the weekly build version of kali Linux and it came with the issues out of the box that the official release one only had after the apt-get dist-upgrade. I will add my PC specs if it helps: Graphics: intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 I also install Kali Linux in UEFI mode.
