| Description | uname -r outputs 'linux-headers-4.17.0-kali1-amd64' with a new installation of 2018.3 (amd64). apt-cache search linux-image after running 'apt-get update && apt-get upgrade' only represents a header of 'linux-headers-4.17.0-kali3-amd64'. | ||||

Issue appears to have been fixed. uname now reflects kali3 |

This is just the normal flow of package updates... what's on the mirror might not yet be installed, and after an apt full-upgrade you are back in sync. |
