Description

i never used Linux or kali linux before but today i have installed in my system by using VMware playewrw but i don't know the root password.
When i tried to change root password with the help of "sudo su" then terminal is not allowing me to enter my password. please help me asap. thank you

This is not an accurate answer.
If you are booting into a live environment, the default password is "toor", without the quotes.
If you have installed Kali on your hard disk, then the root password is whatever you set it to be during installation. If you have forgotten your installation password, then you can either re-install, or recover using a live-cd.
