Summary0000543: Guided install option for crypto partition alongside existing OS please.
Description

The installer is great for
-unencrypted installations, and
-whole disk encrypted,
but makes installing a fully encrypted Kali/swap into a partition(s) confusing and very time consuming. (0000040:0000042 steps in one guide I found).

Problems:
-It also required having access to another computer to view the guide, and look up issues.
-There's lots of steps to make a crypto install in a partition, and many guides on the web assume LVM. I'm not sure I need that.
-I want to keep widows on my laptop because I use it for work too. I can't afford another laptop, so the Guided crypto install using full disk, doesn't help.
-There's lots of steps to install a full crypto install in a partition, which if I make a mistake can leave me vulnerable, or leave sensitive info not well protected on the disk.

I think, like me, many people want to install into a partition alongside Windows, but want a fully encrypted Kali. Being able to easily do so may help more people try out Kali without losing their Windows programs and data. Of course, more Kali means better security for us all in the long term.

Thanks, keep up the great work.

Steps To Reproduce

Try to install an encrypted Kali without trashing a Windows OS on the same machine.

I tried to find the 'feature' category to put this in, but couldn't see how, sorry.

The link in the report is irrelevant, I was trying to express
"( about 42 steps in one guide I found)". Thanks

Kali will not add such an option. If you want something like this, you should report it upstream to Debian.

That said even without guided partitioning, doing what you want is much easier than you what you say (i.e. much less than 42 steps!).
