Summary0005770: iptables commandline never returns - rpi3
Description

Under Kali Linux for Raspberry Pi on a 3B+, the iptables command does not return, halting execution of other shell scripts etc.

Steps To Reproduce

1) Burn the latest kali-linux-2019.3a-rpi3-nexmon.img.xz image to an sd card and boot it up on a Raspberry Pi 3B+.
2) Login as root and open a terminal
3) Issue any iptables command, such as:

iptables -L

4) Observe that the command never completes execution

Additional Information
  • Tested across multiple Raspberry Pi 3B+ devices to rule out a hardware issue.
  • Same issue observed after applying an apt-get dist-upgrade to an older image that was otherwise working correctly.
