| Summary | 0006022: keimpx has new maintainer, updated to support Python 3 and latest impacket | ||||
| Description | keimpx was removed from Kali in version 2019.4 due to it not supporting the latest version of Impacket. https://bugs.kali.org/view.php?id=4007 Since then, in December 2019, I have taken on the responsibility for updating keimpx. Keimpx now supports the latest version of impacket and in addition is now compatible with Python 2.7 and 3.7. The tool is now also being maintained under the NCC Group umbrella, so long term maintenance is a near certainty. While some tools like crackmapexec do similar functions, keimpx has proven to be reliable, well documented and easy to use in comparison. I have created a roadmap of additions that are being considered or are in the planning stage, and will be maintaining the tool for the foreseeable future. I'd like to request that keimpx be readded to Kali from v0.5-beta.1 so that users can continue to use the tool. | ||||
