| Summary | 0006265: could not open /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend | ||||
| Description | there's an error where every time you try to install packages via terminal (apt install 'package name') it always shows 'could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend', same with apt-get upgrade | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | type apt install 'package name' or apt-get upgrade | ||||
Are you running it with root access? If you don't run it via sudo, then yes, you won't have access to the lock. |

I did as you said like running all apt commands with Sudo but after when I try simply without Sudo it still shows me permission error. Can you please tell me. |
I'm not sure what you want here. apt requires elevated privileges, you cannot run it without them. Unless you show the actual errors, we are going to consider this as by design. |
