Sorry, let me rephrase that。If the macos operating system exists in the windows vmware VM, the kali cannot be installed when the Kali-image is used to create a new VM, and the software installation page fails. My vmware version is 16.2.4 build-20089737 and the operating system is windows11 22H2

If I understand you, you install Kali in VMware VM, using the Kali installer iso, downloaded from https://www.kali.org/get-kali/#kali-installer-images ?

Did you try to use the prebuilt VM images instead, from https://www.kali.org/get-kali/#kali-virtual-machines ?

Note that, if you used the weekly images, there's a known issue, it fails to install. It will be fixed in the next weekly image (next Monday).

This is definitely a known issue that has been reported and fixed this week. So your options include:

  • use a prebuilt VM
  • use the netinst installer image
  • wait for next Monday for a new weekly image that works

Next time please provide a few more details straight from the start (what image/iso you use exactly, at least, as we have many). I mean, I didn't even see that you provided the syslog file until now, you could have just written "Here is the syslog attached" and I would have take a look :)

Apart from that, thanks for the report, and sorry for the disruption with this broken weekly installer images.
