| Summary | 0000809: IceWeasel performs many requests upon start | ||||
| Description | If you start the preinstalled IceWeasel, a couple of dns and http requests will be performed without any interaction. Some occurs because of the configuration and bookmarks, others are due to the preset homepage. When you use e.g. Wireshark to monitor the connection, you may see queries for www.yahoo.com, duckduckgo.com, www.google.com, en.wikipedia.org, www.amazon.com, www.ebay.com [search engines], as well as docs.kali.org, forums.kali.org, www.offensive-security.com, www.offsec.com, sb-ssl.google.com. Are these requests necessary? They can at least be used for fingerprinting. If this wasn't intended, it could be removed. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1) Open Wireshark | ||||
