Description

Latest Kali debian kernel 6.0.0 will not shutdown properly on amd ryzen processor laptops it hangs and will not shut down. Older 5.1.8 kernel does shutdown properly.

Steps To Reproduce

Boot up kali with the latest linux kernel version on a laptop with a amd ryzen cpu. It will not shut down haft to push power button or cut off power.

Seen reports of other debian based linux distros with the same problem

We're sorry but we don't have the manpower to deal with hardware support problems.
Those problems need to be fixed in the upstream Linux kernel. We regularly import new kernel releases.
Some hardware suppliers don't care about their Linux support, and there's nothing we can do about that. Avoid buying hardware from those suppliers if you're going to run Linux with it.
