Summary | 0008182: Sherlock unusable due to update required
Description | The Sherlock tool states that it requires an update yet attempts at automatic updates with update/upgrade return that it is "fully up to date!" The tool itself will not work due to a json parsing error from the Github. Any attempts made to manually update the tool result in the bin file for Sherlock refusing to work due to it pulling from files that either no longer exist or have been moved. Error code:
Steps To Reproduce | On a fresh install of Kali-Linux 2022.4 attempt to use the built in Sherlock tool in any method.
Additional Information | N/A
The package has been updated, and should be available soon if it isn't already. Please keep in mind that the update feature is meant to be used if you're using a git version (and we should probably consider patching that out in future releases so that users aren't confused by it.) |
