Summary0008259: Kali-Dark Theme top window bar in some windows not working well
Description

After run apt-get full-upgrade some windows does not respect Kali-Dark Theme. The same windows before upgrade do using well the theme.

Steps To Reproduce
  • Download Kali 2023.1 do default install and enable Gnome for using
  • After for show the issue i do install rhythmbox
  • Next we do apt-get full-upgrade
  • The upgrade works well at this moment.
  • Next we check rhythmbox again and if you compare the prints in attachment the window top bar change. Another some windows does not respect either for example bitwarden.
Additional Information

We try to force theme do GTK_THEME=Kali-Dark on environment. This option solve partly.

The issue happen on minimize, maximize and close buttons. These buttons increase to much your size.

I can confirm this
It seems to be a bug in gnome-shell 44 (or maybe mutter)

That question probably would need to be asked to the upstream developers / maintainer of the tools.

I've found the issue is caused by mutter 44. The update for mutter 44.1 is on the way so it will be fixed soon

I'm closing this as mutter 44.1 is now in kali-experimental and will be soon in kali-rolling
