Summary0008500: hostapd-wep 2.10 option broken

In a fresh install of kali linux por raspberry pi when running hostapd-wep (2.10+git20220310-0kali1) option "r" returns a "invalid option" error.

"r" is for "Return Success where possible" but in 2.9+git20190816-0kali2 that was the package before actual, there was no "r" options and "Return Success where possible" it was "s". Maybe the problem was introduced in that change.

Linux kali-raspberry-pi 5.15.44-Re4son-v8+ 0000001 SMP PREEMPT Debian kali-pi (2022-07-03) aarch64 GNU/Linux

Let me know I more info is needed

I can reproduce it as well in amd64. Optión "-r" is broken.

Yeah, it's not going to be different between arches because it's the same source code. Thanks for reminding us that we need to pull that patch in.

I've updated the patch and pushed this out to the repositories. Sometime next week after it has gone through all of the QA checks, it should be available as the version 2.10+git20220310-0kali2

2.10+git20220310-0kali2 is now in kali-rolling
